Braskem is currently the largest producer of thermoplastic resins in the Americas and the largest producer of polypropylene in the United States. Our Braskem offerings focus on polypropylene (PP) and the I'm Green HDPE products that are produced from 100% renewable sources, such as sugarcane.

Braskem is part of the chemical and petrochemical industry, which has a significant share in several supply chains and is essential for economic development. In this context, chemistry and plastics contribute to creating sustainable solutions to improve the lives of people in sectors such as housing, food, and mobility.

Braskem Business Model

Braskem is the only integrated petrochemical company for the first and second generation of thermoplastic resins in Brazil. This translates into competitive advantages, such as production scale and operational efficiency.

The first generation produces basic petrochemicals such as ethylene and propylene from naphtha, natural gas, and ethane. These compounds are crucial to the second generation, which involves the production of thermoplastic resins (PP, I'm Green HDPE), later used by the third-generation processors.
